Since 2009, FB4K has given away 200,000 bikes, growing from a small initiative collecting 250 bikes in its first year to setting a Guinness World Record in 2015 for the most bicycles collected in a 24-hour period. Passionate about children’s well-being, FB4K brings communities together to sustainably provide bicycles, collaborating with partners to ensure bike access supports education, health, and opportunity.
FB4K operates through a network of chapters that carry out its mission at the local level, with a national chapter identifying high-opportunity areas and seeding new chapters to maximize impact. Over the years, the organization has expanded significantly, launching 22 chapters, with 14 actively serving their communities today. Through this structure, FB4K continues to grow, helping more children experience the joy and freedom of riding a bike.
